Susan's Cheesecake Supreme
A classic tall, creamy cheesecake on a graham cracker crust, baked with sour cream and topped with cherry pie filling.

Ingredients
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
- 32 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons unbleached all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
Method
- Combine the crumbs, 3 tablespoons sugar, and margarine; press onto the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Bake at 325°F for 10 minutes.
- Combine the cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and flour, mixing at medium speed on an electric mixer until well blended.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Blend in the sour cream and vanilla; pour over the crust.
- Bake at 450°F for 10 minutes.
- Reduce the temperature to 250°F; continue baking for 1 hour.
- Loosen the cake from the rim of the pan; cool before removing the rim of the pan.
- Chill.
- Top with the pie filling just before serving.
Notes
- Variation: Substitute 1½ cups finely chopped nuts and 2 tablespoons sugar for the graham cracker crumbs and sugar.
