Eliza's Grandmother's Pecan Butter Balls
Mildred Trauger's tender pecan butter ball cookies — a buttery shortbread dough rolled with finely chopped pecans, baked, and dusted in powdered sugar.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 cup butter
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups finely chopped pecans
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Method
- Sift flour, sugar, and salt; work in the butter and vanilla. Add 2 cups of nuts; mix well.
- Shape into 1-inch balls. Bake on a cookie sheet at 325°F for 25 minutes.
- Roll in powdered sugar.
