Denise's Fudge

An old-fashioned stovetop chocolate fudge with marshmallows and chopped nuts — cooked, poured, cooled, and cut into squares.

Denise's Fudge

Ingredients

  • 1⅔ cups white sugar
  • ⅔ cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 (6 ounce) package milk chocolate chips
  • 16 large marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Method

  1. Add the sugar, milk, butter, and salt together in a saucepan. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  2. Add the chocolate chips while stirring and cook until melted. Remove from heat, add marshmallows, vanilla, and nuts, and stir well.
  3. Pour into an 8-inch pan, leave it to cool, and cut into squares. Serve!
